A Nigerian pastor, identified as Pastor Anosike is going viral after a video emerged showing moments when he told his congregation that he needs $800,000.
He made this request during sermon and stated that, he needs that amount and the Holy Spirit has given him permission to ask the congregation.
The $800,000, according to him, will be used to process his documents and to acquire a green card when he travels to the USA on an assignment from God.
He told the church, “There’s something the Holy Spirit is telling me to do but I’m struggling. Honestly speaking, I struggle to ask for funds.”
“That’s one thing I need to be born again with. I need to.., Should I say it?”, the congregation responded in the affirmative.
He continued,” Note, this not forced or duress, God says the ministers, the people that came here, must from their heart do it.”
“He (God) says I should tell you he’s going to open financial doors in your ministries but it’s going to take a sacrifice of a seed that I’m about to call for.”
“I have exhausted every possible platform to legalise myself in the United States to do my work. God has sent me there for a work but I cannot be operating on V1, V2 visas.”
“The only reliable and dignified way I can gain my visa is called EB5. It’s an investment of $800,000 and you get your green card but you will get it back in 5 years time. So the man of God needs $800,000 to get it done.”
“We’ve signed up with immigration officers and they are waiting for us to begin the process. So God has asked me to throw that to you (congregation). If we can have 800 people to give $1000, it’s done.”
