The video surfaced amid the social media buzz following 2Baba’s announcement of his split from Annie after 13 years of marriage.
Pero, a mother of four—three of whom she shares with 2Baba—used the video’s caption to promote her business, declaring that the nightlife industry is not for the weak.
She also emphasized the importance of mutual support, stating that she expects her industry friends to patronize her just as she supports them. Expressing her excitement, she looked forward to hosting everyone at her club soon.
Amid the congratulatory messages from fans, some netizens accused Pero of subtly shading 2Baba and Annie with the timing of her post.
In response to a critic, she simply replied with the trending phrase, “Ganu, love it.” She also four laughing emojis to pepper critics.
“Ganu Si” is a trending phrase used as a derogatory term for unwelcome interlopers. It gained popularity during KWAM 1’s exchange with some Muslim clerics at his late mother’s Fidau prayer in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
