“This is so beautiful” – Young man presents all his 12-month NYSC allawee to his parents, video stirs emotions
A young man who recently completed his mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program has gifted his parents his entire allowance in appreciation of their support and sacrifices for him.
The heartfelt gesture was captured in a viral video where the man dressed in his full Khaki uniform surprised his parents with the monetary gifts, sparking emotional reactions.
The man, who received a monthly NYSC allowance of N33,000 for an entire year (12 months), revealed that he never spent a single penny but saved it all to appreciate his parents.
In the video, the young man was seen holding a brown envelope filled with bundles of 1000 naira notes as he walked toward his parents’ house for a surprise visit.
He first met his mother in the sitting room, and she was visibly shocked to see him. Overwhelmed with joy, she hugged him tightly. Moments later, his father joined them in the living room.
The young man created an emotional moment in the sitting room as he recalled how his parents supported him during his extra-semester examinations.
The most touching moment was when he knelt down to present his saved 12-month NYSC allowance to his parents. He then removed his NYSC cap and placed it on his mother’s head as a sign of honor. Next, he took off his jacket and draped it over his father, symbolizing his deep gratitude and respect.
Visibly happy with their son’s gesture towards them, they prayed for him.
