Social critic Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, has weighed in on the controversy between gospel singer Mercy Chinwo-Blessed and her former record label boss, Ezekiel ThankGod Onyedikachukwu, aka EeZee T, of EeZee Conceptz.
VDM said that after he watched Mercy Chinwo’s side of the story, he concluded that she was telling lies and using emotional blackmail on the issue.
VDM said that after he watched Mercy Chinwo’s side of the story, he concluded that she was telling lies and using emotional blackmail on the issue.
VDM alleged that Mercy Chinwo’s video was heavily edited, with about 15 cuts, suggesting she was not being sincere.
According to him, the dispute between Mercy Chinwo and EeZee T revolves around her catalog. He argued that the record label rightfully owns it and cannot simply hand it over to her, as that’s the standard practice worldwide.
VDM dismissed Mercy Chinwo’s claim that EeZee T forged their contract, insisting it was a lie. He alleged that a correction was merely made on the document and believed both parties were present when it happened.
Addressing Mercy’s accusation that EeZee T paid bloggers to spread rumors about her child, Charis, resembling gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey, VDM challenged her to provide proof.
He also questioned why she remained silent when the rumor first circulated but only spoke up after her fallout with EeZee T became public.
VDM also questioned why Mercy Chinwo mentioned Pastor Jerry Eze, the convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), in her video.
He argued that she deliberately did so because Eze has a massive following. According to him, by claiming that EeZee T dislikes Eze, she was attempting to sway Eze’s supporters to side with her against the record label boss.
