Note that as of February 2025, businessman Aliko Dangote’s net worth is estimated at $28.2 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index making him the richest man in Africa.
Dangote is the founder and chief executive officer of the Dangote Group conglomerate which consisted of 10 susidiaries in it including, Dangote cement, Dangote Sugar Refinery, Dangote Flour Mills, Dangote Salt (NASCON Allied Industries), Dangote Fertilizer, Dangote Petroleum Refinery, Dangote Agro Sacks, Dangote Noodles, Dangote Transport and Dangote Tomato Processing Plant.
Speaking during his interview with some young ladies and gentlemen, Dangote describes money as a very funny visitor stressing that you can have money today and not have it tomorrow therefore he really respect money and do not spend it anyhow.
Speaking further during the interview, Aliko Dangote raises several eyebrows when he was asked about the most expensive thing he has ever bought.
Responding, Aliko Dangote said that the most expensive thing he ever bought was a toy whiich is a aircraft worth about $50M which is approximately N75.2billion.
In his words; “Money is something that is really very funny, you can have it today and won’t be there tomorrow, you just don’t spend it any how. I don’t spend my money anyhow.”
A guy asked; “What is the most expensive thing you ever bought?”
Dangote replied; “The most expensive toy I have ever bought was my aircraft, I bought one that cost me about $50M.”
Billionaire Aliko Dangote while speaking with the guys speaks on what they need to do be another Dangote and be as wealthy as he is in the nearest future.
Dangote said they need to know that nothing is impossible, they need to be honest, they need to have a good name as a way to protect their reputation, they need to have a bit if luck while stressing that hardwork is the key, and concluded that they need to have a big heart as this will help them in taking lots of calculated risk.
